Welcome to Andrew Jackson Elementary. Children embark upon new and exciting adventures in the world of learning as they travel through their elementary years. Our goal is to ensure that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers and creative writers. We will provide important transitions and the acquisition of new skills each year that will enhance each student’s ability to apply learning in many ways. As an instructional alternative at our campus, parents have the option of enrolling their children in our Dual Language Program. The goal is for these students to become biliterate.
Andrew Jackson Elementary is committed to providing a challenging and rigorous curriculum that helps each student progress at a developmentally appropriate rate and provides a safe environment for all students. We do all of this to prepare your children for the demands of the real-world, so they may become productive citizens, become our future leaders, and contribute and/or give back something positive to the community.
As a former classroom teacher, I value the social and emotional development of each child as they transition from grade level to grade level. I value life-long learning and aim to make your child’s learning experience at Andrew Jackson Elementary engaging and exciting. As the Interim Principal of Andrew Jackson Elementary, I believe that it is my responsibility to maintain and continue to build a supportive and collaborative spirit at our school.
Our partnership with our students’ families, as well as other community members and organizations, is a key part of our success. Students benefit as parents and guardians are involved in their formal education. We should have consistent communication between home and school for families to learn about what is happening at school and provide feedback to help us improve. Please be involved. Like all schools, we have opportunities for improvement, and we aspire to unite with you in our efforts.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you for supporting our school and always remember that I am here to help.
