PART 2 of 2: We have been in contact with the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen & it will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. to children in K-5th grade. Free breakfast, lunch & dinner will be provided. Parents do not have to be members of the B&G Club of McAllen to enjoy these services. Staff & Students will return to school at regular times on Tues. 5/2. Essential workers in the Police Dept., FMO, & Child Nutrition will still report to work on Monday. We are working hard to ensure all schools are ready for learning on Tuesday, 5/2. We know many homes across McAllen are without power. Therefore, following a careful assessment, and out of an abundance of caution for our McAllen ISD family, classes have been canceled for Monday, May 1, and the entire district will be closed. All staff and students are to remain at home on Monday.

3rd-5th grade parents, review and save this important STAAR information with upcoming dates. Students must get a good night's sleep and get to school on time. On the dates that your child is testing, please have them leave backpacks and electronics at home on these days.
